Cousin Cole's Big Day

We went to Cole's first communion last Saturday. He looked so adorable in his new suit! After the lengthy service, all the boys ran around outside to get their energy out. We love you, Cole! Thanks for inviting us to share your special day with you!

Thanks Grammy!

Tevye's mom sent the boys a package with a bunch of goodies for Easter. When they opened it up, the first thing they yelled was, "Hats!!" To make things even better, they were hats (and outfits) from the new movie "How to Train Your Dragon." We haven't seen the movie yet, but it just so happens that we have been reading the book for the last week or so. It is a very funny book, by the way, and Caden does an awesome job when it is his turn to read aloud. Thank you Grammy and Auntie Talicee for the fun Easter surprise!

Primary Easter Activity

Last Saturday, we went to the Easter activity that our ward's Primary hosted. The boys and I had so much fun! The park was very nice, the weather was great, and the games and egg hunt were fun.

Croatian Bread Dolls

I found a really cool Easter celebration book online (www.bookofmormondiscovery.com) that the boys and I are using to choose an activity each day to help us get excited for Easter. Yesterday, we made Croatian bread dolls in honor of my sister, Emilia. Caden and Vance really enjoyed dying the eggs and rolling the dough. They tasted so good, thanks, in large part, to the frozen bread dough (yes-I cheated).

Karate

Just trying to teach him to use his powers for good. He has loved both of his lessons, but I had to bribe him with gum to put on the shirt (you can tell that he is holding gum inside the puffed-out cheek).

Patriotic Show

At the end of February, Caden participated in the 1st Grade Patriotic show. It was so cute! The kids sang a bunch of my favorites, like the Marine Corps song and "You're a Grand Ol' Flag." Caden didn't smile during the program too much, but afterwards, he told us that he had fun.

More Monster Trucks

On the last day of Monster Trucks, Tevye took the boys early so they could go see the trucks up close. I had so many cute pictures to chose from, but these are my favorites. They had a great time, and after the event, they got to meet some of the drivers.
